Brand identity for FractalCut — a sheet-cutting optimisation platform for fabricators and manufacturing teams. The mark draws from precision geometry, angular cut paths, and the focused energy of industrial production.

Design Process

Stage 1

Concept Development: Explored geometric forms inspired by optimised nesting patterns and precision cut paths. Early sketches tested angular marks, nested shapes, and CNC-derived geometry.

Stage 2

Symbol Refinement: Shaped a distinct angular mark that communicates both precision and manufacturing intent. Tightened proportions for strong small-scale legibility.

Stage 3

Color Selection: Chose a deep industrial red system (#991B1B, #B91C1C) to emphasise strength, focus, and workshop credibility — grounded by near-black for contrast.

Stage 4

Final Identity: Delivered a flexible symbol and wordmark set for product UI, technical documents, and brand assets. The mark holds well at favicon scale and in monochrome.
